Descripción del empleo

From Devoteam we are looking for a virtualisation systems administrator for an important client located in the banking sector. The position is 100% remote from Spain.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • The SysAdmin Virt engineer will be responsible for the virtualization infrastructure and services across the organization and also about solving problems in order to prevent or restrain damage.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Virtualization platform operation, maintenance, monitoring, incidents resolution, requests and change management tasks.
  • Work with the rest Infrastructure engineers to evaluate user stories.
  • Maintain infrastructure and software supporting internal tools.
  • Develop automated solutions for enhance internal processes.
  • Guard on duty is required as part of the service
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of IT Virtualization environment based in VmWare.
  • Demonstrated experience in administration of Hyper-V platforms.
  • Knowledge of technologies such as Cisco UCS and VxRail will be positively valued.
  • Competent in scripting/API and development skills in Powershell and/or any other modern coding or scripting languages to automate tasks like Ansible or Python.

MINDSET

  • Real team player that have experience working in a large, corporate, organization but also able to work independently.
  • Positive and able to work in stressful situations.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Affinity with information technology and is aware of risks in IT.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to explain complicated analysis to a nontechnical audience.

PROFILE

  • Minimum experience of 3 years in the main responsibilities described above.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • This role implies information protection and security responsibilities that the person will have access to, aligned with the "Information Security and Management internal policies" of the Bank.
