Job Purpose


As a Global Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing Sandoz's future-looking data and information architecture and frameworks, enabling the enterprise's cutting-edge data products and services.

Major Accountabilities

  • Establish a consistent, interoperable, and scalable data and information architecture to support current and future business activities
  • Develop and review (solution) architectures and implementation plans for data products and services
  • Develop artifacts such as data domains, and conceptual data models (e.g. ontologies) together with various stakeholders to ensure quality, interoperability, and consistency of data
  • Connect closely with business and IT stakeholders to proactively identify and address requirements, risks, dependencies and potential issues
  • Provide holistic, solutionoriented, and professional consulting to our internal clients in the areas of Data Architecture, Enterprise Knowledge Graph, Data Products, and newest technology developments
Key Performance Indicators

  • IT Cost efficiency; Savings due to asset reuse interval reduction & decommissioning
  • Completeness, adequacy, and correctness of the enterprise architecture meeting its functional and nonfunctional (qualitative) needs and requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Master of Science degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science or related field
  • Certification in and/or experience with Agile, DevOps, and DataOps methodologies are a plus

Languages:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Skills:

  • Experienced in guiding and developing teams across wide geographies & in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to align a strategic IT service portfolio with business needs.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to present features and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with change management through process engineering and/or participating in largescale IT change / transformation programs

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in data architecture for enterprisewide data products and services, preferably in the pharmaceutical environment
  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Experience working with cloud computing technologies for big data is a plus
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments, opensource software and Graph Technologies are a plus
  • Experience in architecting asynchronous, messagebased architectures
