DutiesYou will be responsible for all aspects of the management and operations of the Personnel Support Division, Housing Welcome Center.

You will be responsible for maintaining the flow and quality of work within the Personnel Support Division to assure timely accomplishment of work assigned.

You will maintain liaison with local real estate interests in community to advise of Military Family Housing needs and obtain listings.

You will assist customers in locating suitable family and bachelor housing on the economy and negotiating all provisions and terms of the private leases.

This is an overseas position.

You will be subject to and must be able to satisfy the overseas requirements of the 26Jul12 DODI V1230:
position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.Males born after must be registered for Selective Service.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.

You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.


Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Providing management oversight of Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) for inbound/outbound personnel as required by the Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR);
2) Programming, prioritizing, and locating suitable off-base rental housing and negotiating private rental contracts
3) Performing all aspects of personnel management functions to include determining housing referral requirements, interviewing candidates, and assigning and distributing workloads to subordinates;
4) Providing customers off base with periodic housing information, and develop and maintain good communication through Command town hall meetings; and
5) Communicating and translating proficiently in both English and Spanish in writing to respond to inquiries and process property rental listings and housing applications.

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position.

Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
