You will have the unique opportunity to report directly to our R&D Manager - Marine Technology and Innovation be based on our office in Polinyà, Spain and cooperate with other colleagues from all over the world.

What you can look forward to in this Role:

  • Produce small batches of paint prototypes in our coating's lab
  • Plan and conduct laboratory test with small coating prototypes based on wellknown as well as new chemistries, and evaluate the results
  • Plan, conduct and evaluate analysis experiments with some of the key polymeric raw materials in our Analytical Lab.
  • Keep accurate and complete records and produce quality reports of your laboratory activity
  • Engage and align with other Hempel colleagues to understand how to best support different projects
  • Follow all guidelines and Group procedures regarding Health & Safety and Environment
What does it take to become our new team member?
- laboratory technician or equivalent studies related to Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

  • Previous work related to organic chemistry, polymers or coatings would be an advantage.
  • Structured, cando attitude and teamwork skills
  • Strong passion about sustainability and innovation
  • Handson approach for lab work and practical work
  • Experience with analytical techniques of polymers would is desirable but not required
  • Experience with silicone v
  • Computer skills
  • Able to communicate in a clear and consistent way both verbally and in writing in English
