What will be your challenge?


Contributes to the timely and accurate execution of assigned activities for designated areas of responsibility across the risk management lifecycle.

Collaborates effectively within Group Risk Management and provides support, review and challenge to the first line of defense.

Acts as a business partner with a department (Life, Investments, Finance, Actuarial)

Coordinates risk related Solvency 2 reports for Zurich Vida (SFCR, RSR, ORSA).

What will your day-to-day life be like?

  • Supports risk managers in matters requiring their attention.
  • Contributes to meetings to meetings with the 1st line to provide guidance, updates or risk advice on projects and initiatives in assigned area.
  • Collects and prepares relevant information, data and presentations independently for discussion with GRM and with the 1st line.
  • Supports engagement with first line to ensure that risk management activities are being completed on a timely basis.
  • Governance: Contributes to the production of policies and other governance documents.
  • Risk Appetite: Understands the risk appetite and tolerance for areas of responsibility.
  • Risk Identification and Assessment: Supports the 2nd line review and challenge activities.
  • Risk Response: Supports the review and challenge of proposed 1st line risk responses.
  • Monitoring: Assists with performing risk monitoring activities.
  • Assurance: Performs assurance activities, validates findings and observations with relevant stakeholders and documents results.
  • Reporting: Contributes to the production of risk reporting.
  • Engagement: Supports the 1st line to adopt GRM tools, templates and methodologies.
  • Training: Contributes to the development and facilitation of training and training materials to stakeholders, promoting a disciplined risk culture.

What will you need to succeed in the role?

  • High level of English (oral and written).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in analogous, similar, or related roles.
  • Knowledge of risk management, project management, knowledge of the insurance industry or financial institutions and Risk Report writing and Control process.
  • Autonomy and persistence, ability to work with clear goals, quality standards and compliance dates.
  • Full support to business areas and excellent communication/influence skills.
  • Ability to understand complex issues and be able to identify possible risks (360o vision).
