Position: Tax Manager (Tax Return)

We are on the lookout for a Tax Manager to join our team at a public accounting firm. This position involves overseeing personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for clients from diverse industries.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and sustains relationships with client management throughout the year.
- Comprehends client operations, key performance indicators, business trends, and industry advancements.
- Provides advisory services and spots sales opportunities with existing clients.
- Participates in business development and promotional initiatives.
- Reviews and prepares intricate tax returns (T1, T2, T3) while overseeing junior staff.
- Manages internal projects, such as personal tax season, and supports assurance staff with resources.
- Devises and executes tax planning strategies, reviews tax elections, and filings.
- Supports in the recruitment, training, mentoring, and evaluation of junior staff.
Requirements and Skills:
- 6+ years of public practice experience, preferably in a mid-sized accounting firm.
- Minimum 4 years of involvement in tax-related positions.
- Completion of the second part of the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course.
- CPA certification or an equivalent professional title.
- Holds a business or finance-related post-secondary degree.
