Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia

Description:

As Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia you will be reporting directly to the Head of Cyber.

Based in our Barcelona office, you will play a strategic role in the management of our European Cyber portfolio assisting the Head of Cyber on strategic and technical matters as they relate to formulating, executing and monitoring underwriting strategies for Cyber risks insurance.


The job requires in depth understanding of Cyber matters (Threat, Vulnerabilities and Consequences), Cyber insurance European markets and close collaboration with Financial Lines Managers and their teams.


Responsibilities:


The main responsibility of the Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia is to manage the stand alone Cyber book of business written in Northern EMEA and Asia by our Barcelona and Munich teams and to contribute to the underwriting of cyber risks exposure in our other lines of business.

You will play a key role in the alignment of the Cyber risk underwriting strategies for our Underwriting teams, making sure that the Cyber book is consistent and profitable.


The responsibilities are further detailed below:

  • Underwriting Management

The Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia:

  • will implement and monitor the global underwriting strategy with respect to the stand alone Cyber insurance portfolio underwritten by our teams in Barcelona and Munich;
- in conjunction with the Financial Lines Managers in our Barcelona and Munich office, will formulate and implement local Cyber risks strategies and will monitor these local Cyber strategies for the various territories the company covers;
- will supervise all technical and legal aspects of the Cyber risks underwriting strategy while the Financial Lines Managers will supervise commercial aspects;
- will play a key role in providing continued training and information sharing with regards Cyber insurance;
- will make sure the UW philosophy for Cyber insurance is clearly communicated internally and externally, in conjunction with the respective Financial Lines Managers;
- as a member of the underwriting team, the Cyber Manager
  • Northern EMEA and Asia will actively participate in the development of the book of business by using his brokers' relationships, local market expertise and language skills, taking into account B-Global and B-Smart procedures when and where applicable;
- will build productive relationships with assigned field offices and business partners.

  • Underwriting Authority


The Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia will be part of the Cyber Risks Committee and will act as a referral authority for certain risk segments.

He/she will be involved in underwriting decisions depending on the class of business/territory/limit of liability/risk exposure/claims experience (risk segments).

  • Portfolio Management
The Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia will assist the Head of Cyber in managing the overall Cyber portfolio and in providing management information to the Management Team for this line of business, as specified in more detail below:

  • perform an annual regional book analysis;
- develop and enhance underwriting and risk management philosophies, underwriting tools and underwriting procedures according to the needs of the company.

More specifically the Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia _e_ will:

  • report on an annual basis on the progress made in the implementation of the Cyber local strategies in the main markets covered by the underwriting teams in Barcelona and Munich;
- contribute to the annual business plans by ensuring that the company's Cyber appetite is adequately integrated in the local business plans;

  • Product/Project Management


The Cyber Manager - Northern EMEA and Asia will be involved in specific research or product development projects that can contribute to the development and/or enhancement of new and/or existing products and market entries.


  • Relationship Management
