RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports BASF project teams the development of conceptual and implementationready solutions Basic and detail engineering for the construction of chemical Production facilities as part of investment projects.
  • In your new role, you will be responsible for electrical engineering functional, timely and costeffective planning and handling of large projects.
  • Furthermore, you are responsible for compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
  • You use your experience to coordinate the planning steps involving different disciplines.
  • You use your knowledge to control and monitor the Contractual execution and quality of external Planning services as well as for early communication and Effect in the event of deviations.
  • Managing interfaces and communication with external suppliers and engineering partners.
  • Ensuring quality is met by planning, supervising and conducting manufacturing control activities and acceptance tests as required.
  • Supporting and coordinating the construction and commissioning efforts.
  • Identify resources requirements for the electrical discipline and support the Engineering Manager in closing the gaps.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering. High Voltage knowledge is considered a plus.
  • Several years of experience in the field of Electrical engineering including prior experiences as Lead Electrical Engineer in large capital projects.
  • Proven experience in project execution and its phases as well as the knowledge of the necessary deliverables for each phase.
  • Solid and proven knowledge of European Electrical Standards.
  • Knowledge of additional international standards is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience in coordinating engineering activities, consulting of internal customers and interface management with internal and external parties.
  • Preferably knowledge of dealing with relevant planning tools.
  • Entrepreneurial action, the constant desire to drive innovation and out of the box thinking.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
  • English languages are required. Spanish and German language skills are considered a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and for an assignment abroad: Projects Design Phases and/or Execution will take place in different locations in Spain and globally.
