We're situated in sunny Barcelona, Spain, just a stone's throw away from the beach, and currently seeking multiple Junior Java Developers/Engineers to join our growing agile teams. In collaboration with one of the largest telecommunications and media corporations worldwide, you'll report to your Team Lead, geared to innovate in the realm of digital change, and become part of a expanding team amidst an exceptional work atmosphere in this hybrid work setting.

Job Description

As part of your daily tasks, you will:

  • Design and develop Java backend applications using a test-driven methodology.
  • Emphasize the quality of your codebase through refactoring, testing, and clean code principles.
  • Engage in all stages of the development cycle, from Analysis to Delivery.
  • Provide valuable contributions to the business in each sprint.
  • Aid in translating high-level requirements into detailed technical designs.
  • Enhance your team's workflow.
  • Support users of your team's components.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • Technical background in software engineering, computer science, or telecommunications engineering.
  • Solid expertise in Java/J2EE (1+/2+ years).
  • Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Design and programming.
  • Enthusiasm for the field.
  • Emphasis on teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • EU work authorization.
  • Experience in an Agile environment (preferably Scrum methodology).
  • Background in developing RESTful Web Services.
  • Knowledge of Test-driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-driven Development (BDD).
  • Understanding of relational databases, SQL (particularly Oracle), Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Maven, GIT, Docker, or Jenkins.
