Job Description

The Field Connectivity Engineer will assist in water metering aligned with clients' sustainability objectives through integrating the Digital IoT platform and connecting sensors to water treatment plant assets. They will also support other analytics implementations and work on projects related to Mobile and CMS RO connectivity setups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up IoT configurations in EU locations for new projects, Mobile/O&M, CMS RO connectivity, including coordinating actions, discussing connectivity methods and cybersecurity with clients, and ensuring completion of connectivity configuration for remote services.
  • Analyze water metering plant layouts, determine sensor and hardware connectivity strategies, and assess data requirements for Digital Analytics/Sustainability applications.
  • Offer connectivity options to clients, evaluate cybersecurity aspects, and provide support for decision-making processes.
  • Assist clients in installing and validating hardware/sensors/SaaS implementations.
  • Support configuration of the Digital IoT platform data and help customers achieve water and energy savings.
  • Place and monitor orders for Digital Indirect POs, oversee invoice payments, and assist with telecom services and related tasks.
  • Travel twice a month to provide on-site support.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Background in mechanical and electrical engineering.
  • Prior experience in field service involving connecting water processing instruments like flow, pressure, and conductivity meters, pumps, and valves.
  • Technical proficiency in digital architectures, systems, hardware, software, and some networking components. Familiarity with industrial control systems such as SCADA, PLC, or DCS is advantageous.

Desired Qualities:

  • Experience in a multinational work environment within the water industry.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with various stakeholders like plant managers, engineers, and IT professionals. Proficiency in written and verbal English is crucial.
  • Expertise in task planning, estimation of timelines, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of water balancing, fluid mechanics, and energy calculations.
