Job Description:

The Opportunity


We, at Flywire, are seeking an
_Indirect Tax Manager_ **with a demonstrated track record in resolving complex tax issues and accurate, timely filed compliance related to global indirect taxes.

This role will lead all aspects of identifying, evaluating, and ensuring that Flywire is compliant with their indirect tax obligations to minimize the overall tax risk for the Company.


The Indirect Tax Manager will:

  • Manage the global indirect tax compliance function as well as review and oversee the timely filing and payment of the indirect tax returns prepared by our outside providers
  • Document and communicate indirect tax implications and compliance obligations of existing as well as new product initiatives, entering a new jurisdiction or market and transaction flows
  • Manage indirect tax audits
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to the tax team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation
  • Assist with special projects, tax planning strategies, and tax research as needed

Qualifications:

Here's What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years experience in a large CPA firm or multinational company, with experience with multiple jurisdictions/regions
  • CPA or equivalent required
  • Master's degree in taxation or similar, preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of indirect tax concepts
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken, proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks, able to prioritize and adhere to tight timelines with attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
