Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Hybrid Integration Architect in IBM Consulting, you will serve as leader in defining solutions for clients, acting as the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation.


Our Platform Engineering Services division is strategic for IBM Consulting, with a great opportunity for professional growth, willing to evolve in a heterogeneous and professionally attractive ecosystem, with the opportunity to participate in cutting-edge projects in the main companies on the market.


The scope of this role is the implementation of a Telco Network Platform for one of IBM's major Telecom Partner in Spain, based on Red Hat Openshift, Openstack and Juniper Contrail.


In this role, you will also collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problems and requirements, constraints of the system to facilitate, iterate and document the design and adoption of a hybrid cloud solution.


Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Being responsible for the deployment project on Telco automation
  • Leading the deployment of a network automation platform, reporting directly to the project manager and focused on meeting project deadlines.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor aligned to industry trends that develop the framework and integrated solutions that meet the customer's business needs.
  • Collaborating with members of the client and IBMers teams to define and execute proofs of concept and minimum viable solutions.
  • Owning the solutions architecture plan while being a "handson" builder in a clientfacing engagement
  • Champion an entrepreneurial mindset and deliver unique value by leveraging industry and technology expertise to drive innovative strategies to accelerate client's success.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 3 years of experience modeling services and automations with network orchestrators, experience working in the mobile network environment of a Telco, with knowledge in configuring IP connectivity, firewalls, mobile connectivity, 5G network architecture, DevOps (Git and Jenkins).
  • Handson experience of Data Center and IMS/Mobile Core Network
  • Router, Switch, & Firewall Configuration & Integration
  • Installation, Configuration & Integration of Juniper Switching Fabric & Router, Firewall products
  • Handson experience of SDN Implementation and Configuration of Juniper Contrail on Red Hat Openstack and Openshift
  • Experience on IPv4/IPv6 subnetting, VLAN, VXLAN, VRRP, OSPF, BGP & MPLS. IP Planning & Lowlevel design

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Telecom and DC network testing tools, e. g. Spirent, Keysight
  • Experience in debugging/resolving any configuration issues on the network to resolve service issues
  • Network automation with Ansible, Python, Juniper Apstra
  • Telecom Industry Domain: Networks/OSS Domain Knowledge, Network and Inventory Knowledge.
  • Languages required: English, Spanish
