The Institute


The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries.

The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.

He/she will use computational analysis, including artificial intelligence approaches to analyze super
- resolution microscopy imaging data and single particle tracking data to resolve the 3D genome structure and chromatin looping as well as the dynamics of nuclear architectural proteins and transcriptional machinery in somatic, cancer and stem cells.

About the lab
Our laboratory, the Reprogramming and Regeneration Laboratory, is studying the mechanisms controlling somatic cell reprogramming and tissue regeneration.

In particular, we are studying how the Wnt/b-catenin signalling pathway controls these processes, and how cell-fusion-mediated cellular reprogramming contributes to tissue regeneration and homeostasis.

We tackle these questions with different approaches and through different disciplines, which range from the nanoscale level of observation of cell functions, up to the whole mouse organ.


Whom would we like to hire?

Professional experience

Must Have

  • You have multiple years of experience in bioinformatic, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis
  • You have proven experience in analysing omic data and possibly imaging data

Education and training

  • You hold a Phd in computational science, mathematics, physics or related disciplines

Languages

  • You are fluent in English

Technical skills

  • You have advanced skills with programming (Matlab, Python, R and similar
    ):
  • Positively evaluated will be experience with imaging analysis methods, optical methods, and a background in biophysics.

Competences

  • You are a highly motivated and expert computational scientist
  • Highly developed organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team with multiple scientists
  • Flexibility to be involved in multiple projects
