We are Anchor Point Studios and we're looking for a Lead AI Programmer to help us build the future of mind-blowing video game entertainment for a new, innovative 3D action title.
Additionally:
- Experiment with game design through rapid prototyping to explore innovative gameplay possibilities and interactive AI experiences.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members,including career development, performance evaluations, and goal setting. Work in close collaboration with the engineering and design teams to craft memorable gameplay experiences.
- Profile and optimize code to meet memory and CPU budgets, proactively diagnose and fix bugs in AI and character systems.
- Author and revise AI behaviors for ingame characters,ensuring interactive and playable spaces that facilitate AI interaction. Tune characters based on design goals and playtest feedback.
About You
- Demonstrable AAA title experience with significant experience in AI development, particularly in Unreal Engine.
- Profound knowledge of AI systems (e.g., Behavior Trees, Finite State Machines, Pathfinding, Etc) and significant experience in developing AI behaviors in Unreal Engine.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Blueprint scripting within Unreal Engine, including a solid foundation in data structures, algorithms,design patterns, objectoriented programming, and debugging.
- Experience with Multiplayer and Networked Game AI: Understanding of the specific challenges and solutions for AI in a networked or multiplayer game environment.
- Skills in optimizing AI and game performance for various platforms, ensuring smooth gameplay experiences across a range of hardware specifications.
