I Company description

Finergreen is a M&A and financing advisory boutique for the energy transition. Founded in 2013, the
company now operates around the world through 12 offices with around 90 collaborators in total,
being Madrid the 2nd largest office within the group.

We advise our clients (mostly independent industrials, financial institutions, or utilities) on strategic
projects in either equity (M&A, venture or growth capital) or debt (project finance, private
placements, LBOs) transactions.

We have advised on over 170 financial transactions to date which led to the development of more
than 10 GW of renewable capacity, and which have helped start-ups become cornerstone players in
the energy transition around the world.

We strongly believe that financial expertise is required as a fundamental driver of success for
entrepreneurs in the energy transition industry given the large amounts of capital that need to be
deployed in the long term to drive significant change on our planet.

With a strong track record of working with family businesses and entrepreneurs but also with large
and international financial institutions, Finergreen is a recognized advisor in the industry while
remaining true to the entrepreneurial spirit that was at its inception.

The Madrid office was incorporated in September 2020 and is currently working on several debt and
equity transactions. The Madrid office covers all the Southern European markets (Portugal, Spain,
Italy, and Greece) together with direct support to the new office based in London and dedicated to
the UK market. Within the Finergreen group, the Madrid branch also provides active support to the
Mexico and Sao Paulo offices.

Finergreen has ambitious goals for 2023 and we are looking for autonomous and entrepreneurial
profiles that wish to pursue a financial career in a fast-growing company at the heart of renewables.

The Madrid team currently has 20 collaborators executing transactions in Southern Europe and also
benefits from the daily presence of the CEO and Founder of Finergreen.

II Job description

The position is based in Madrid where you will join our team as an Associate. You will work especially
with the recently opened office in London, but the position might cover also other geographies
managed by the Southern-Europe branch (Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece).

We require collaborators to assume high levels of responsibility immediately with direct exposure to
senior management and clients. It involves meetings and interactions with CEOs, CFOs, or senior

Your main tasks will be:
Team and transaction exposure

  • Manage and support analysts during all the parts of the M&A and Project Finance
transactions;

  • Key client contact during daytoday transaction activity and manage investors and
lenders relationship within transaction context;

  • Actively participate and help to manage market relation with relation to potential
equity players or lenders within the assignments;

Analysis and production activities:

  • Design and / or help to design deliverables (financial model, teaser, IM, pitch),
delegate production to analysts, check the quality of deliverables (both in substance
and in form - Finergreen standard);

  • Ensure compliance with the schedule for the production deliverables for which
he/she is responsible;

  • Proofread and markup legal documents related to operations (loan agreement,
shareholder agreement etc.);

  • Check the adequacy of analytical work and financial models carried out with the
terms and conditions of contracts being negotiated;

  • Share expertise, promote the transfer of skills and empowerment by delegating
effectively;
Marketing activities

  • Manage daytoday interactions with lenders or investors;
  • Attend and Lead meetings and negotiations;
  • Contribute to branch origination attracting new contacts and leads;
Execution

  • Monitor and facilitate due diligence processes;
  • Liaise and coordinate with external advisors (legal, technical, accountants etc );
  • Manage Q&A process between investors and clients;
Finergreen activities

  • Supervise market research;
  • Draft and review client pitches;
  • Contribute to communications, marketing, or other material for the company.
