Position: Maritime Security Officer (female / male)

Location: Working onboard MSC Cruise Ships

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in English at B1-B2 level
  • Background in military, police, airport, customs control, or security
  • Holders of European passports

Description:
Employment Duration: 6 months

Main Function:
We are seeking experienced Security Guards with substantial security, military, or police expertise. Applicants should be willing to work in a global team.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS)
  • Skills for identifying, comprehending, and managing potential security risks
  • Fully certified with a demonstrated track record of competence
  • High fitness level and skills in crisis management and problem-solving
  • Outstanding English language abilities, both written and verbal
  • Ability to adhere to the Master’s Standing Orders, Ship Security Plan (SSP), and other related procedures

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the ship's security and enforce the SSP and standard procedures
  • Manage gangway security and access control
  • Conduct security screenings of passengers, crew, and visitors' belongings to prevent dangerous items onboard
  • Perform security patrols in restricted, controlled, and vulnerable areas
  • Patrol passenger areas
  • Investigate crimes, incidents, and safeguarding issues
  • Compile statements and reports
  • Report all crimes, incidents, and safeguarding issues
  • Participate in security drills, training, and exercises
