For one of our Insurance Clients based in Spain, we are looking for an experienced IT Senior Consultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, steer and report on the RFI and RFP phase of the project to select the future target platform with the required teams (procurement, security, architecture) including a Proof of Concept as part of the selection
  • Ensure documentation in the RFP all expectations and requirements (functional, nonfunctional) and review the proposals and contribute to the selection process
  • Proactively engage all required teams (products, working groups, business functions sales/underwriting, compliance, etc...) by establishing and sustaining accountability to ensure they are actively involved in the project and assure seamless deployment
  • Define and monitor the project scope (content, cost, detailed project plan) within the constraints of quality, cost, time and functional perimeter
  • Identify dependencies and maintain risk register; manage risks/mitigations and any issues as they arise, collaborate with senior business or technical roles as required to resolve them
  • Organise and leads Project Steering Committees and coordinate all streams ensuring efficient progress updates and stakeholder's support
  • Prepare the right reporting, tailored to the audience targeted and with the proper monitoring / tracking and decision making material. For that purpose, consolidate statuses and KPIs from impacted products and/or teams (in terms of budget, planning, risks, and mitigants)
  • Lead/Support Business readiness and maintain up to date deployment (incl. local rollout), adoption plans and expected benefits in accordance with the business case.
  • Responsible for handing over operation of delivered capabilities to BAU support setup/operating model. Facilitate/support the change management for the post go live process and training plans.
  • Ensure project alignment with the methodologies used by Services project partners (Agile, DevOps...) in line with the architectural, data, safety and quality standards

Skills:

Must have

  • 10 to 15 years+ of experience Senior Consultant with the project management experience in large / international projects is a must.
  • Versed in managing expectation and reporting to Exec level and challenging stakeholders
  • Practical / handson approach to deliver concrete results and to structure the environment in the way that is necessary to drive action. Ability to take part of the deliverables (delivery of some documents)
  • Proven Project management experience in a global environment able to support the implementation of the required governance. Strong IT background. Ideally managing projects on the IT side
  • Good understanding of the IT integration complexity
  • Ability to anticipate risks or to mitigate their impact / likelihood once they occur
  • Excellent active listening skills and communication skills at various levels of hierarchy / seniority levels / countries / cultures: ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences (from operational to executive), quickly incorporate feedback and adjust accordingly
  • Strong stakeholder management skills (esp. executive level)
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in dynamic and matrixial situations
  • Ability to steer groups over which he/she has no formal authority and with competing expectations: Business Stakeholders, Group Professional Families, Experts, Communities, etc. in an international environment
  • Resilient and tenacious with a strong propensity to persevere in a moving environment
Nice to have

  • Experience with RFI/RFP process is a plus
  • Business acumen: Familiar insurance / assistance
  • Strong financial background
  • Practical knowledge of Process design as well as Systems Architecture principles
