  • Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is a hosting member of the PRACE European distributed supercomputing infrastructure. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 770 staff from 55 countries.

    Context And Mission
  • We need an AI specialist to develop models for synchronized (multiple) types of input data (image, structured data) for the CONVERGE project, which targets 5/6G technology.
    Key Duties
  • Research and development of techniques rooted in deep learning, semantic modeling, statistical learning
  • Participating in the definition of future lines of work
  • Publishing and proposal writing
  • Interacting with our Teleco partners

Requirements:

  • Education
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
  • Experience in (1) Neural Networks OR (2) Data mining / Machine learning, as well as in (3) High-Performance Computing
  • Interest in research that connects different areas of expertise
  • Excellent programming skills
  • Competences
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Experience working with diverse teams
  • Knowledge in telecommunications
  • Highly motivated

Conditions

  • The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department
  • We offer a fulltime contract, a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with stateoftheart infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
  • Duration: Openended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
  • Starting date: March 2023
