DESCRIPTION

Do you have a sofware engineering background and strong knowledge in Ruby? Are you an open-minded professional with good English skills? If it sounds like you, this could be the perfect opportunity to join EPAM as a Senior Ruby Developer.

Our teams work in highly agile working environments for Fortune clients, following XP practices and best CI/CD practices. We are looking for a Senior Ruby Developer with open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.

Responsibilities

Develop solutions across a wide range of problem areas in a fast-paced environment Drive results, productivity, quality and value for a client, respecting their deadlines and objectives but also being an honest, realistic and committed partner to them Play proactive role in proposing technologies, tools & approaches Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences Identify and manage risks and flag major issues early

Requirements

Expertise in Ruby on Rails Proficiency in Amazon Web Services Hands-on experience in MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis In-depth knowledge of Heroku, Docker, Sidekiq Familiarity with JavaScript, React, ember will be plus Expertise in TDD, DDD concepts Strong communication skills Ability to work with business directly to clarify requirements and priorities Proactiveness Expertise in quality of the code, testing the outcome, unit testing
