Job Purpose

Lead the analysis, development, and optimisation of aircraft reliability and maintenance programs, ensuringthorough compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, in order to enhance operational efficiency,predict and prevent component failures, and reduce overall maintenance costs while maintaining high safetystandards.

Main Accountabilities

• Analyse and manage maintenanceperformance metrics and KPIs.
  
• Oversee predictive maintenance initiativesusing real-time data.
• Monitor and analyse reliability data to identifytrends and issues.
• Compile and update the maintenanceprogram documentation.
• Evaluate and adjust maintenance intervalsbased on data analysis.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities forprogram approvals.
• Liaise with internal departments formaintenance planning and execution.
• Drive continuous improvement projectswithin the maintenance program.
• Provide support during regulatory audits andinspections.
• Implement advanced technologies for maintenance and reliability.
• Manage the policy for mandatory and non mandatory modifications.
• Organize and manage the team, promotingtheir development, teamwork and
  communication, between their collaboratorsand the rest of the Company.
• Perform any other responsibility or functionthat is assigned inherent to the job.

Main Responsibilities - Tasks

• Provide detailed reports on maintenance delays, aircraft utilisation,average downtime during major maintenance, and other keyperformance indicators to inform decision-making processes andimprove operational performance.
  
• Implement and manage predictive maintenance strategies bymonitoring aircraft data in real-time, identifying potential componentfailures, and proposing timely inspections or replacements to avoidoperational disruptions.
• Conduct thorough analyses of reliability data, detect patterns andcorrelations in maintenance events, and issue alerts for recurringproblems, collaborating with engineering teams to develop effectivesolutions.
• Ensure the maintenance program documentation incorporates allnecessary inspections, modifications, and regulatory requirements,keeping it current and compliant with manufacturer recommendationsand internal standards.
• Regularly assess the effectiveness of maintenance tasks, usingstatistical analysis to propose adjustments in intervals, optimisingmaintenance schedules and reducing unnecessary procedureswithout compromising safety.
• Facilitate the review and approval process of maintenance programsby relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring all programs meet thestringent standards required for compliance and operationalreadiness.
• Collaborate closely with the maintenance planning department andother operational teams to ensure maintenance activities arescheduled and executed efficiently, minimising impact on fleetavailability and ensuring all necessary resources are in place.
• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives, leveragingdata analytics and industry best practices to enhance maintenanceprocesses, increase operational efficiency, and reduce costs whilemaintaining high standards of safety and reliability.
• Ensure the team is prepared for audits, facilitating smoothinteractions with inspectors and addressing any findings promptly tomaintain compliance.
• Integrate new tools such as data analytics platforms and predictivemaintenance software to improve the accuracy and efficiency ofmaintenance operations.
• Implement and oversee policies for modifications, ensuring allmandatory changes are completed and evaluating the benefits ofnon-mandatory improvements.
• Make the department managed a better place to work.
• Fulfill the mission of the job if it is in the employee ́s hand.

Main Relationships

• Head of Technical Services: For overall direction, strategic alignment, and reporting.
• Compliance Monitoring Manager CAMO (RCC CAMO): For developing regulations, procedures, and correctiveactions from audits.
• Maintenance Planning Department: For scheduling and executing maintenance programs, ensuring the availabilityof necessary resources and minimal disruption.
  Operational Control Centre (MOC): For addressing real-time technical queries and supporting operational needs.
• Engineering Teams (Systems, Structures, Engines): For collaborative problem-solving, implementing modifications,and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory Authorities (e.g., EASA, AESA): For compliance with aviation regulations, participation in audits, andimplementing regulatory updates.
• Suppliers and External Maintenance Providers: For coordinating repairs, overhauls, and ensuring service quality.Insurance and Finance Departments: For managing budgetary concerns, processing insurance claims, andfinancial reporting.
• Data Science and Analytics Teams: For leveraging advanced analytics and predictive maintenance technologies toenhance reliability and efficiency.
• Fleet Management Teams: For coordinating the induction and phase-out of aircraft, ensuring maintenance programsare adapted accordingly.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field, essential forunderstanding the technical aspects of aircraft reliability and maintenance.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical services engineering tasks, necessaryfor familiarity with the technical and operational demands of the role.
• Proven experience in managing technical projects, demonstrates the abilityto lead, coordinate, and optimise team performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, required for evaluating maintenance
  programs, addressing technical issues, and implementing improvements.
• Experience in developing and implementing maintenance programs and reliability
  initiatives, ensures the ability to maintain fleet airworthiness and improve operational
  efficiency.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, necessary for understanding and applying
  relevant aviation regulations and standards.
• Project management experience, important for overseeing complex projects,
  coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring timely completion.

Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance and reliability principles, crucial for
  overseeing and optimising maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with AMOS or similar aviation management software, important for
  managing maintenance operations and technical records efficiently.
• Understanding of Airworthiness Directives and safety regulations, necessary for
  ensuring compliance and implementing required modifications and safety measures.
• Understanding of financial implications of maintenance programs, important for
  making cost-effective decisions and optimising budget utilisation.
