VHIR's offers a contract to work as a
Research
Technician within the Neurovascular Research Group. Our lab

is focused in stroke research from a basic and translational point of view. The group is composed by a young

and highly motivated group of researchers: neurologists, biologists, technicians, statisticians, psychologists and

nurses.

Our work is divided into four lines of research:
Biomarkers, Prevention, Neurorepair and Amyloid. This

position will give support to European projects (AFFECT and PRESTIGE-AF), in Biomarkers and

Neuroprotection line.

JOB DESCRIPTION
**Education and qualifications:
**Required: **Bachelor's Degree in Statistics

**Desired: - Fluent English. B2 CEFR or equivalent required.

**Experience and knowledge:
**Required: - Solid background of statistics applied to biomedicine, evidence-based medicine and critical reading of scientific literature.

  • Management of SPSS and R. Notions of Python, SAS, STATA or additional statistical software will be evaluated.
  • Computer skills
  • Previous experience on clinical predictive models development with biomarkers
  • Experience on bioinformatics, Neurological/Neurovascular related data and familiarity with data from bioassay
quantification tools like ELISA, microarray and qPCR will be evaluated.
