Engineering Intern

T his intern will focus on work tasks related to the design & re-use of steel equipment/structures used as installation aids, lift rigging and basic seafastening for our various projects.
Tasks will be a mix of design calculation work, equipment database updates, and equipment re-use review.2.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESBecome familiar with Subsea 7 BMS documents related to installation aids.
Become familiar with applicable industry codes and standards.Learn to use Inventor and/or AutoCAD software to draw up undocumented installation aids based on field measurements.
Prepare an estimate of costs saved by Subsea 7 GOM region via re-use of installation aids in database.
Perform engineering calculations for several existing spreader bars.
Perform engineering design and calculations for small installation aids (TBD).Perform engineering design and calculations for small seafastening (TBD).3.AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONSFunctionalNoneCommercialNone.
INTERFACESIntern Supervisor – Formal reporting of feedback assessment.
