ISGlobal has a broad portfolio in communicable and non-communicable diseases including environmental and climate determinants, and applies a multidisciplinary scientific approach ranging from the molecular to the population level.

    What We Are Looking for:

In the context of the Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence Programme, ISGlobal is seeking a Technical Officer (postdoc) to support Covid-19 research and more generally research on the interaction between infectious diseases and NCDs in order to promote the European and global response to the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases.

An important part of the work will consist in the follow-up of population cohorts.


This position will be supported by funding from the "Centro de Excelencia Severo Ochoa " Program (CEX S) from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and the Spanish Research State Agency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate population cohorts on COVID19 in Catalonia and mother child cohorts in Europe in relation to analyses of infectious agents and later health effects
    Specific Duties:
  • Coordinate work on specific aspects of the COVID-19 cohorts and mother child cohorts in Europe including: development of data sets, analysis of data, reporting of results
  • Participate in other activities of the NCDs&Environment program including mentoring of early researchers, participation in scientific meetings

Selection Process:


The selection process is designed in two phases:1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation.

To assess the person's skills and CV.

  • Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
