Main Responsibilities:

Business development and planning: negotiate with key sellers and promote relevant local selection, negotiating price advantage, and ensuring that the business goals are achieved.

Prioritize seller growth based on market opportunity, product mix, and price advantage.

Understand main distributors and retailers in Spain for the relevant category role and understand key insights of market demand to drive sales with multicategory sellers.


Seller operations:
provide key sellers guidance in platform operations, usage of marketing tool, advertising solutions, amongst other growth tools. Relevant to have experience in marketplace operations.

Demand generation:
collaboration with internal/external teams, driving sales of a managed set of sellers. Propose promotional activities and empower the visibility of local products versus overall marketplace selection. Manage product mix and local plus overseas selection sales blend.

Products operations:

analyze the user's demand for products, enrich the product assortment, and formulate the annual product promotion strategy according to their seasonality and life cycle.

Take advantage of the seasonality of the categories through seller operations.

Promotional activities:

coordinate the category promotional annual planning, including brand negotiation and bringing product traffic, through the integration of marketing resources, and exploring innovative social marketing models.

Negotiate co-marketing activities with stakeholders leading the commercial relationship with the key players in the market.

Project management:

carry out business innovation integrated projects according to the actual situation of the local business in Spain and consumer needs.

Multiple projects are managed in parallel, building a clear business structure, ensuring internal and external partners successful collaboration and resources, and obtaining timely results.


Data analysis:

research and analysis of the platform and category, including the situation of users, sellers, stores, products, competitors, etc., and timely adjustment of operating strategies according to market and category insights.


Technical integrations:
high-level understanding of main integration method between seller ERP systems and marketplace (API, MCA, SaaS, etc.)

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or similar (MBA is a plus) 4-8 years of relevant account management experience in brand or retailer within FMCG categories (Groceries, Mother & Baby, Toys, or Pet Supplies), with deep understanding of local market, brand commercial relationships and operations, online/offline market dynamics, distribution channels, and consumers behavior, P&L ownership, and both successful business strategy definition and operational/executional track-record.

Deep e-commerce and marketplace platforms operations experience, seller operations, products selection and operations, and supply chain management.

Rich experience building commercial relationships and negotiating with leading brands and senior management, as well as in purchasing, selling and supply chain management in the category.

Proven experience in complex project management, integrating resources, and successfully leading and coordinating different multidisciplinary stakeholders and teams.

Superior numerical and analytical skills, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models Superb communication skills (both written and verbal), teamwork spirit, resilient, start-up mindset, and capable to thrive in dynamic and changing environments.

Proven ability to combine both definition of high-level strategic picture with capacity to role up your sleeves and get it implemented.

Strong logical thinking, systematic operation ability, and capacity to innovate and think out-of-the-box. Proven capacity to automate and scale processes. Well structured, meticulous, ambitious, and insisting on the highest standards. Ability to communicate in fluent business English and Spanish.
