Handyman - Gibraltar

WinPower has been operating on the national and international markets for over 30 years on the domains of engineering, Operation & Maintenance of energy generation solutions and providing services for the energy transition of its customers and partners.

As a Handyman, you will be joining WinPower's Operation & Maintenance Team participating in the activities developed in the North Mole Power Plant - Gibraltar.

• At least nine years of completed school instruction;
• Professional certification (formal or informal), based on: certificates of recognized entities, professional path, onjob training in similar services and facilities;
• Understanding of at least two of the following languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese;
• Knowledge of carpentry, construction and basic electricity and metal works as well as pipe working (facility water lines, sewage, drainage, etc);
• Knowledge, on a user level, of the appropriate inner communications (radios, telephones, smartphones, as well as commonly used communication apps);
• Previous experience working in Power Plants is highly valued.

• Take the instructions received and communicate clearly for an adequate performance of functions;
• Understand orders and be understood in matters relevant to the effective performance of the duties to be performed;
• Regular cleaning of the facilities;
• Regular performance of minor maintenance jobs and small repairs;
• Filling gaps and providing painting services as well as changing light bulbs, small carpentry works, construction repairs, repair of equipment and various machines and appliances;
• Identify, document and report maintenance and repair work;
• Suggest additional necessary repairs when identified as needed;
• Operation of emergency equipment (firefighting), pursuance of emergency procedures.
