Based in vibrant Barcelona, Spain, just a stone's throw away from the beautiful beach, we are seeking passionate Software QA Engineers to join our expanding agile teams. You will work with one of the world's largest telecommunications and media companies, reporting to your Team Lead, to innovate in the realm of digital transformation and be part of a growing team in a spectacular work environment under a hybrid work model.

Job Description

What you'll do on a daily basis:

  • Translate high-level requirements into detailed behavioral scenarios using Gherkin.
  • Manage scenario coverage using Cucumber-JVM.
  • Engage in all stages of the development cycle, from Analysis to Delivery.
  • Deliver value-added increments to the business regularly.
  • Contribute to enhancing your team's work processes.
  • Offer component support to meet client needs.

You will be part of a global technology consultancy, gaining valuable insights into the software development lifecycle through Agile methodologies and exposure to cutting-edge development technologies. Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

  • Technical background (Degree in software design, computer science, engineering, or telecommunications).
  • 1 - 2+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
  • Understanding of QA methodologies and their role in the software development process.
  • Ability to create test plans and detailed test cases for effective feature coverage.
  • Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming and SQL.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills; proficiency in English for business communication.
  • Quick adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to grasp technical and team objectives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Agile environments (preferably using the Scrum methodology).
  • Knowledge of test automation and Behavior-driven Development (BDD).
  • Proficiency with Bug and Task management systems (e.g., JIRA) and basic understanding of GitHub.
