  • Objectives of the role:
  • A highly engaged leader with an entrepreneurial spirit who will maximise the returns to the JMH Group by managing and continuously improving all aspects of the business, including marketing, sales, manufacturing, supply chain, technology, H.S.E., finance, human resources and capital investment etc. To strive to be market leader and act as guardian of all the assets in the business on behalf of the shareholders in line with Group policies, defined authority matrices and procedures.
    Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed business plans covering all areas of the business, in line with the requirements of the Group strategy and business planning process.
  • Drive the company resources to meet its financial KPI objectives (sales growth, gross margins, EBITDA, EWC and OCF).
  • Establish and maintain accounting and financial processes to meet Group requirements and policies, with regular monthly reporting and rolling 12 month forecasts that can be converted easily to annual budgets.
  • Establish and maintain processes to monitor and maximise cash flow.
  • Review financial data and identify potential risks and opportunities for optimisation of efficiencies.
  • Prepare for approval finance memoranda in line with investment set out in the approved business plan.
  • Deliver capital projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage the company's operations to leverage best practice and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Manage and continuously improve all aspects of the value chain i.e. purchasing, manufacturing, sales, stock control, order to cash and cost to serve.
  • Grow the business through networking and developing relationships with key customers towards achieving mutual benefit.
  • Network effectively with the key Civil Engineering Contractors and Government Municipal Leadership to understand the market dynamic and promote Fosroc solutions.
  • Live the "ROCK". In particular champion the highest standards in HSE, resulting in NO Accidents or Harm to People or the Environment.
  • Organise the company resources and recruit where necessary "Specification and Technical Resources" to build basic core competence.
  • Promote a strong "customer first" commitment. Manage the sales and support functions to create a stable, incentivised and focused company driven by clear objectives.
  • Manage ontime recruitment, selection and development of all staff, ensuring appraisals, succession planning and training needs are completed to meet the needs of the business plan.
  • Ensure that all local laws are complied with and that the business assets are maintained and developed in line with Group policies.
  • If required discharge all duties as a Director of the Company.
    Skills required
  • Comprehensive and broad understanding of general management in an industrial b2b environment.
  • At least 4 years' experience in the construction industry.
  • A reasonable understanding of the construction market through a mixture of solution selling, construction project management and operations.
  • Highly developed leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong negotiation, networking and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, flexible, tenacious and resilient.
  • Able to manage and champion change.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and build key internal relationships with regional teams and central functions.
  • Numerate with strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent command of oral and written English.
  • Internationally Mobile.
