About the Role:

The Portfolio Analyst will work across the team to support the Head of Portfolio Management - EMEA&LatAm in executing the LM Re Portfolio Management vision and in producing the relevant management reporting to ensure business objectives are met

This will include:

  • Working alongside Head of PM and other business leaders to help establish a high performing 'Portfolio Management' function within EMEA&LatAm
  • Prepare the reporting on behalf of LM Re Portfolio Management to relevant Underwriting Committees / Groups (both at LSM and legal entity level)
  • Support the execution of GRS and LM Re initiatives championing collaboration and a One GRS vision.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and be a support contact when the Head of PM for EMEA&LatAm is unavailable
  • Assist in producing meaningful MI and analytics for the team using data to produce innovative highquality recommendations to improve underwriting portfolio analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Finance with premium income monitoring reporting and be responsible for requesting premium uplift requests to the relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in the work with Underwriting, finance and actuarial to perform analysis that supports portfolio remediation and produce the relevant reports for legal entity management committees, senior management and regulators
  • Work with underwriters in the optimisation of the portfolio and assist in business planning activities contributing to the implementation of change programmes in line with strategic and operational plans
  • Assist with the delivery of the Quarterly Business Reviews and any Portfolio Trend and Pricing Reviews (Account huddles) and track, monitor and assist in the execution of QBR action points
  • Build and maintain working relationships with stakeholders within EMEA&LatAm region, and help join the dots between the underwriting divisions and associated control & support functions (Finance, ERM, Actuarial, Business Development, Operations, Data & Analytics)
  • Provide support for nonunderwriting activities including but not limited to; data collation for regulatory returns/reviews; preparation for governance meetings
  • Work with the EMEA&LatAm Strategic Delivery Board to assist in the delivery of regional or global initiatives
  • Ensuring Portfolio Management is delivering the underwriter toolkit required to achieve high performance in all areas of the business. Support the underwriters in the delivering their respective Business Plans; coordinating ERM/Exposure management or outwards reinsurance reports; and internal management reports
  • Escalate issues where required and work with relevant parties to resolve. Proactive in keeping relevant parties informed of significant or challenging issues
  • Liaise with all members of EMEA&LatAm region and support them to execute best practice and encourage global consistency

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to analyse and interrogate data
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple initiatives
  • Experience of achieving results through working collaboratively
  • Ability to work independently to meet team goals, and to work as a member of a high performing team to accomplish goals
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office systems, especially Excel and Powerpoint
