About the location:
On Colombia's Caribbean coast, in the historic city of Cartagena, Four Seasons is revitalizing a collection of landmark buildings dating as far back as the 16th century.
About the roleWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Manager with strong background in Food & Beverage to lead our operation team.
The ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator who is fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken)What you will doCoordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
Attend and participate in all Planning Committee meetings and events.Monitor and review the daily revenue report, the daily labor report and the monthly profit and loss statement, analyze results and take action when necessary.
Conduct regular tours of the hotel and make recommendations for changes as well as note deficiencies and ensure corrective action is taken.
Meet on a regular basis with all managers, supervisor, and non-management employees.Monitor all standards in the hotel to ensure they are in place and enforced.
Maintain and elevate the concept integrity of each venue through collaboration with all areas of F&B and marketing teamExcellent guest-centric skills and ability to innovate the culinary and mixology experiences within the community.
Control all capital expenditures and ensures the proper guidelines are adhered to and projects are completed on a timely basis.
Meet with the Human Resources Director on a regular basis to review staffing requests, morale, disciplinary situations, and hotel employees.
Control expenses through actively participating in all areas of the hotel operation.Ensure facility is well maintained from both housekeeping and engineering standpoints.
Develop profit improvement ideas, policies and procedures and implement them with approval of the General Manager.
Ensure all Four Seasons Hotel Policies and Procedures are followed.
Assume authority of General Manager in his/her absence.
Respond appropriately in the event of any hotel emergency or safety situation and comply with all local codes and ordinances with a focus on guest and employee safety.
Maintain a solid working relationship with the Hotel Owners and participate in Owner's meetings.Personally meet and interact with guests, review all written guest comments and follow up on any guest service issues or needs.
Directly supervise at a minimum the Director of Rooms and Director of Food and Beverage.Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the General Manager or Four Seasons Home OfficeWhat you bringReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and Spanish language.
Degree required or equivalent experience in the form of 5-10 years hotel operations and/or management.Strong F&B previous experienceWhat we offer:
