Job Summary


Manufacturing Engineer mission is to lead and execute projects aimed at improving manufacturing processes, taking into consideration quality, time, inventory and cost optimization.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and improve Manufacturing Processes.
  • Monitoring and preparation of product transfers between plants.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities associated with the production process (SQDP), identifying and implementing associated corrective and/or improvement actions.
  • Write and lead validation activities.
  • Problemsolving related to production processes, from a quality, lead time, inventories and cost point of view.
  • Write and maintain quality system documents, such as product specifications, standards, Work Instructions.
  • Define the equipment and process specifications, finding suitable providers to supply the required equipment, as well as coordinate the purchasing and commissioning activities of the equipment.
  • Analyze manufacturing indicators to identify opportunities for improvement in SQDP (Safety, Quality, Delivery & Productivity).
  • Lead projects of continuous improvement, coordinating the parties involved and monitoring the results achieved.
  • Define and control Key Performance Indicators of the tasks of your responsibility, and write reports on the results.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 34 years' experience in a similar position, especially in manufacturing and a multinational environment. Preferable at medical device, pharma, chemical or cosmetic companies.
  • BSc in Engineering, Industrial, Mechanical, Organizational, or other related field.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English, both verbal and written.
  • Deep understanding on manufacturing, end of line processes and methods (Cleaning, Surface Treatments, Assembly, Packaging, Labeling), project management, validations. Knowledge of medical device regulation, quality and lean manufacturing (Six Sigma, Kaizen ), agile methodologies and statistics is an asset.
  • Good computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office tools.
  • Excellent planning, detailoriented, organization and prioritization.
  • Ability to take decisions, analysis and problemsolving.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with other areas of the company and ability to influence others.
  • Strong attention to details and multitasking.
