The Enterprise Effectiveness team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead, monitor and coordinate activities related to a variety of technology and business projects and programs across EMEA.
As Project Manager, you will manage projects or assigned projects subcomponents to ensure cost, schedule, scope and deliverable requirements are met.
What you will do:
- Use project management principals, theories, techniques and tools, manage time, cost, schedules, quality, procurement, communication, and risk.
- Direct and coordinate activities of assigned project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget. Provide leadership of project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Determine methods and resources needed to achieve project goals, and develops and maintains a detailed work (project) plan.
- Coordinate activities and work collaboratively with all stakeholders across departments.
- Facilitate meetings to discuss issues and implementation strategies and solicit alternative points of view. Facilitate problemsolving; and decisionmaking.
- Formulate conclusions, recommendations and develop options. Effectively present and justify findings and recommendations to management and customers, as appropriate, to gain approval.
- May manage projects and programs that cross multiple departments/regions throughout the company.
- May manage vendor relationships and serve as a liaison between vendors and project team members and leadership. May manage vendors including cost, quality, and schedules.
- Identify, manage and mitigate issues and risks.
What we are looking for:
- Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
- Experience in management of large scale, complex, high risk projects.
- Problem solving skills to develop solutions to complex problems where analysis of situations and/or data requires indepth evaluation of variables.
- Ability to work independently and to determine objectives and approaches to assignments.
- Excellent communication skills, as you may represent Avnet as a primary contact on assignments and/or projects, interact with senior professionals and management, and frequently coordinate work between departments or organizations.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
