Context And Mission
We are looking for a Training Officer to work in the Education and Training Team of BSC.

The Education and Training Team is responsible of coordinating the training and education activities, conduct educational research and develop opportunities for collaboration with other leading High Performance Computing (HPC) and Supercomputing centers as well as world class universities in the areas of education, training and mobility.

The main responsibility of the position will be to support the smooth and effective functioning of the department, including all the events organized. Also, she/he will have to provide high level support for all the national and international programs/projects.
Key Duties
  • Coordinate the Training and mobility programs at BSC
  • Attend regular meetings and video calls to stay up to date with the different project tasks
  • Organise administrative support for the department and manage the communication with students, participants, lecturers, BSC administration and other stakeholders
  • Organise and support meetings, training events, seminars and other activities of Education & Training department for different audiences
  • Manage in-house training facilities
  • Organise administrative support at Mobility Program: Publish mobility calls, process the applications to support the selection committee and follow up the grants
  • Manage the communication of the department, write announcements to publish in BSC website, training Portals and others
  • Contribute to writing of grant proposals
  • Run the quality assurance system already in place, prepare individual evaluations assessments for every course
  • Organize the Doctoral Symposium, manage the submissions and prepare a conference book of abstracts
Requirements
  • Education
    • University degree at Msc level or equivalent
  • Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Proven experience in Training management and organisation
    • Excellent spoken and written languages knowledge: English, Spanish
  • Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
    • Good skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalents)
    • Knowledge of scientific topics would be highly appreciated
    • Experience in event organization would be a plus
    • Any other European language would be a plus
  • Competences
    • Excellent organization skills to handle multiple assignments
    • Strong communication skills
    • Team player and ability to work in autonomy
    • Ability to create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
    • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
    • Support budgeting and book keeping procedures
    • Good skills in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint or equivalents)

  • The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department

  • Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
