The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join the Critical Systems team in our Madrid office and to play a role in ensuring the successful delivery of innovative mechanical design solutions for some of the most exciting and high-profile projects in the Datacentre and Critical Systems fields, in the UK and internationally. Notably, the team are working on Data Centres in Spain.
As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare both scheme and detailed designs from feasibility and concept through to detailed engineering design, and site support.
You will also have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects, and will be supported towards chartership.
The Skills
Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent), and having gained experience in a Mechanical Engineering role within a data centre/critical system and building services context.
You have proven ability in delivering creative design solutions, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and crucially – you have a passion for creative and intuitive design.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills in English and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
