Senior Wind Operations Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Wind Operations Engineer to join our leading renewable energy generation multinational group.

The ideal candidate is someone passionate about the renewable energy sector and is looking for a new professional challenge with opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operations and maintenance (O&M) of wind turbines to ensure optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Propose troubleshooting solutions for minor corrective actions and common defects in large components, minimizing downtime and optimizing energy production.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for the mechanical and electrical systems of wind turbines.
  • Analyze the performance of wind turbines, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing energy production through data-driven insights.
  • Lead and coordinate technical teams for O&M activities, ensuring effective execution of tasks and efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage inventories and resources, ensuring timely procurement of spare parts and materials to minimize downtime and optimize maintenance processes.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in wind turbine operations and maintenance, with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Fluent in Spanish (working proficiency required), and English (intermediate to advanced level for technical communication).
Bonus Points:
  • Technical Certification/Safety Training in BST/GWO to work in wind farms.
  • Experience with wind energy software tools such as wind resource assessment software, turbine performance modeling software, and design software is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations related to wind energy.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing O&M activities.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and maintenance for large wind turbine components.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to optimize energy production.
  • Familiarity with inventory and resource management, ensuring efficient procurement processes.
