The position is within the Design & Customer Experience team, offering the chance to work with a diverse, international group on various products and innovation horizons.

We seek a Senior User Interface (UI) Designer (m/f/d) with deep expertise in User Interface Design and Design Systems. You will play a central role in ensuring quality and consistency of Deutsche Telekom's digital touchpoints by:

• Implementing a new UI Design language across digital platforms
• Conducting design critiques and guiding teams on UI language implementation
• Enhancing Deutsche Telekom's UI Design language and updating components and guidelines
• Collaborating across disciplines to enhance UI & UX design
• Working with our Design Systems Team to translate requirements into platform components
• Identifying customer insights and translating them into experience concepts
• Creating inclusive user experiences for mobile apps, web portals, smart devices, and conversational interfaces, ensuring accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2 AA)
• Improving user experience along customer journeys, including accessibility for all
• Prototyping experiences of various fidelity levels
• Validating user experience concepts with customers
• Developing customer-centric storytelling and solutions for business decisions
• Integrating the latest technologies into experience solutions
• Sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues

The role requires:

• Bachelor's and Master's degrees in design (e.g., UX, interaction design) and 6+ years of relevant experience
• Strong UI and visual design skills
• Expertise in creating design languages, visual identities, and documentation within design systems
• Ability to provide actionable feedback and guidance
• Experience in crafting digital user experiences across multiple touchpoints
• Proficiency in accessible design systems for enterprise needs
• Understanding of Atomic Design or systemic design approaches
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (CSS, JS, HTML)
• Methodological expertise in UX and interaction design activities
• Experience applying user-centric and accessibility-focused design in agile projects
• Strong communication skills to support decision-making and challenge conventions
• Ability to visualize ideas, communicate strategies, and foster collaboration
• Interest in emerging UX trends, technologies, and interaction paradigms
• Curiosity, empathy, resilience, flexibility, and a passion for lifelong learning
