Position summary:

You will oversee multiple projects from the design phase through to completion, ensuring

they are delivered successfully and on schedule. Collaborating closely with various

departments and the Central Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning,

coordinating, and executing project activities efficiently while maintaining alignment with

company objectives.

Responsibilities:

1. Operations Oversight


• Oversee daily operations of the solar PV plant to achieve energy production targets while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.


• Continuously monitor performance metrics and analyze data to diagnose and resolve inefficiencies.

2. Maintenance Management


• Design and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to maximize equipment

lifespan and minimize downtime.


• Supervise troubleshooting, repair, and optimization efforts for critical systems such as inverters,

modules, and transformers.

3. Team Leadership


• Lead and mentor the O&M team, including engineers, technicians, and contractors, fostering a

culture of excellence.


• Organize training programs to ensure the team stays current with industry best practices and

technology.

4. Compliance and Reporting


• Ensure adherence to industry standards, grid regulations, and health and safety protocols.


• Generate detailed reports on performance, maintenance activities, and compliance for stakeholders.

5. Technical Expertise and Support


• Serve as the primary technical advisor for system improvements, equipment upgrades, and plant

design enhancements.


• Work collaboratively with external consultants and contractors for specialized tasks and upgrades.

6. Cost and Efficiency Management


• Drive operational cost reductions while maintaining safety and performance standards.


• Evaluate and implement innovative technologies to enhance efficiency and reduce expenses.

7. Project and Client Management


• Develop and manage project plans, tracking timelines, budgets, and deliverables.


• Maintain clear communication with clients and escalate issues to project heads when necessary.


• Ensure client KPIs are met and proactively inform clients of any potential risks or delays.

8. Health and Safety (H&S)


• Facilitate adherence to H&S policies, including risk assessments, method statements, and site rules.


• Ensure all H&S statutory notices, files, and procedures are updated and accessible.


• Embed a safety-first mindset across all operational activities.

9. Continuous Improvement


• Identify opportunities for improvement in H&S, operational processes, and team efficiency.


• Stay informed about new regulations, industry trends, and best practices to drive continuous

improvement.

10. Stakeholder Engagement


• Build strong relationships with stakeholders through effective communication, presentations, and

collaboration.


• Represent the company in client meetings and maintain professionalism in all interactions.

Key skills:

  • 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance within the renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing solar PV plants of comparable scale.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects successfully while managing diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong customer-oriented mindset with outstanding relationship-building and management
  • Comprehensive understanding of solar PV system components, SCADA systems, and grid interconnection processes.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical system issues.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite for operational and reporting tasks.
  • Self-driven, resilient, and able to maintain focus under pressure.
  • Adaptable to changing situations and capable of performing effectively under tight deadlines
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential, with English proficiency considered an advantageous asset.
