Field Service Engineer
Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a passion for engineering and travel? Do you have expertise in mechanics, electronics, and knowledge of PLC systems and automation?
This is a unique opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Field Service Engineer. You will work on location at customers around the world, installing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced machines and systems.
Main Responsibilities:
- Installing, testing, and commissioning complex machines and industrial systems.
- Solving technical problems (troubleshooting) in the field of mechanics, electronics, and automation.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machines.
- Analysing faults and effectively implementing solutions, both on-site and remotely.
- Supporting customers by providing clear technical explanations and guidance.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure continuous improvement and optimal customer satisfaction.
- Train customers and employees on how to use the machines and their systems.
- Travelling to customer sites both nationally and internationally (up to 80% of the time).
Requirements:
- Completed MBO or HBO education in the field of Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- At least 3 years' experience as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electronic components, in addition to knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Experience with PLC programming and automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting machines.
- Good communication skills, both in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Independent, flexible, and able to perform under pressure.
- Willingness to travel regularly (international).
