The Global Community Investment Manager sits within Global Corporate Affairs and is both a strategic and tactical role, supporting the Global Director, Community Investment and YHP to deliver and grow our global portfolio of programming. This includes our Young Health Programme (YHP), global non-profit giving and engagement as well as cross-sector partnership development.

The ideal candidate will bring practical, hands-on experience with project management, communications and stakeholder engagement. Teamwork, diplomacy and an open mind are essential character traits that will aid the candidate when working with the non-profit sector in countries and communities all over the world. You are a strong communicator and can easily adapt your style to meet cultural differences. We believe that you have experience working with the non-profit sector, and delivering community programmes or knowledge of Corporate Social Responsibility would be considered an asset to this role.

What you’ll do

  • 50% Young Health Programme, which includes Partner Relationship Management, Measurement/Reporting and Communications
  • Growing the internal and external visibility of global programming by creating and sustaining communications across both established and new channels, and by working with communications agencies
  • Managing the delivery of key YHP activities and events, increasing employee volunteerism and engagement
  • Implementing, iterating and interpreting impact measurement to monitor and share progress
  • Engaging proactively with the broader Global Corporate Affairs and Communications networks to identify opportunities for learnings, promotion and sharing best practices
  • Managing relationships with nonprofit partners to support the delivery of programming, identify opportunities for increased engagement, address or overcome hurdles that may arise, and measure against shared goals and objectives
  • Building connections across and between nonprofit partners and/or AstraZeneca affiliates to activate programming and realize community and business value
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of CSR and community issues related to our areas of focus and using insights to aid with the development and delivery of programming
  • 50% Community Investment Administration
  • Supporting grant administration and finance processes using Cybergrants across Community Investment teams and external partners for humanitarian response, product donations and equipment donations.
  • Tracking and reporting on donations and community investment queries
  • Providing guidance and advice to AstraZeneca affiliates and business functions on the topic of community investment and philanthropy and triaging unsolicited requests that come in from the nonprofit sector
  • Supporting the delivery of transparency reporting related to community investment
  • Ensuring programmatic delivery by ensuring partnership and vendor agreements are updated, filed and processed for timely payments

    Desired Requirements

  • Social impact/CSR/ESG for a healthcare or multinational company
Impact measurement and reporting, including data collection and validation, governance, Theory of Change frameworks, and translating activities to outputs/impact Corporate community investment landscape, including knowledge of charitable regulations and best practices Experience working with, or for, non-profit organisations with a focus on healthcare for underserved populations and/or adolescent health Programmatic implementation Knowledge of guidelines, standards and best practice in medical donations

Essential Requirements

Bachelor degree in relevant field (health, business administration) Strong written and verbal communications skills fit for purpose, and ability to translate complex messages into straight forward, clear and concise communications. Becoming comfortable with working across all levels of an organization and adapting messaging, style and tone according to the audience Leading and hosting digital meetings and presentations with a variety of audiences Establishing frameworks to track performance and measure success Experience using online reporting tools and systems (such as MS Forms, SharePoint, Excel and CyberGrants) Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and campaigns that meet established goals Experience in working with creative agencies and supporting internal and external communication campaigns including adherence to brand guidelines and familiarity with social media platforms and tools A self-starter with an independent, proactive work ethic and the ability to work cross functionally Experience working in a health-related field or with health information with a preference for those who have worked in global or public health / Non-communicable disease prevention & management and/or with Foundation experience Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands on delivery, hereunder the ability to understand and influence issues and decision-makers in complicated and complex situations and creating shared agendas
