Our project DH B2B Digital Touchpoints is a portal for business customers, different parts of which (monolithic portal, microservice backend, integrated single page applications) are developed by various SCRUM teams, which are united by common business goals. In the project we have a group of DevOps engineers, each of those is assigned to work with a specific development team(s) and, at the same time, stays in touch with other DevOps colleagues to share knowledge, help each other, align about tools and approaches, and participate in common tasks, which are applicable to all teams of the project.
Tech stack of the project:
Java applications (monoliths and microservices) deployed to K8S-clusters and application servers, Docker, GitLab CI, Ansible, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK-stack, various cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and support CI/CD pipelines in various projects
Configure monitoring and log aggregation tools
Manage cloud services and environments
Prepare and support software releases
Monitor and troubleshoot project systems
Collaborate with development and support teams
Identify opportunities to optimize and automate manual processes
Stay up to date with best practices and emerging technologies
Required skills:
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
Knowledge of at least one of CI/CD tools (Gitlab CI, Jenkins, Teamcity, CircleCI)
Understanding and practical experience with git
Experience with monitoring and log aggregation tools
Experience with Docker (creating images, configuring and running containers, networking)
Familiarity with Kubernetes
Understanding of cloud computing
Experience with Linux (command line utilities, package managers, configuring)
Hands-on experience with Bash programming
Communication and teamwork skills
English level-upper-intermediate
Preferred skills:
General knowledge about software development life cycle
Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with configuration management tools, like Ansible
Experience with microservices architecture
Knowledge of security best practices and tools
