Mission

We are hiring a Global Tax Manager to join our Headquarters in Barcelona, Spain. This person will be responsible for applying good tax practices, ensuring strict compliance with applicable tax laws and securing the adequate overseeing of the tax policies followed by the dependent companies. 
As a Global Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role within the Corporate Tax Department acting in all areas in strict adherence to the different tax laws, the applicable regulatory framework and avoiding tax risks in the execution of business decisions. 

Tasks and responsabilities

The position will provide support in a wide spectrum of tax activities both at national and international level, assisting in the preparation and presentation of different tax returns of the group's companies, as well as giving the necessary support to the different business areas in Spain and subsidiaries. Among others, this support includes:

  • Support in the preparation of the main Spanish tax returns concerning direct and indirect taxation, withholdings, local taxes or IIEE.
  • Support in the preparation of Intrastats and VAT declarations of Almirall S.A. VAT numbers abroad, and of the VAT compliance of EU affiliates.
  • Assistance in the preparation of documentation requested for eventual tax audits, as well as in the preparation of other relevant tax documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Establishment of internal control systems to reduce the risk of errors or the risk of non-application of the tax policies adopted.  
  • Support business areas in Spain and subsidiaries in specific consultations, both in the analysis and in the implementation of tax actions.
  • Support in the review of transfer pricing documentation of the subsidiaries.
  • Participation and support in specific projects, like the R&D monetization or setting up new processes in relation with new tax obligations, like the new Pilar II.
  • Supervision of quick fixes requirements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with industry requirements (specificities of the pharma sector).
Education

 

•        Degree in Law, Economics, Administration and Business Management or similar.

•        Specific complementary training in the Tax area (Master-Postgraduate).

Specific Knowledge

•        SAP Knowledge.

•        Advanced Excel level.

•        Advanced English level

•        Power BI knowledge

•        Accounting knowledge.

Experience

•        Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in a Tax department, in a prestigious Firm or multinational company.
