To support our ongoing growth and advancement, we are seeking a talented and experienced Global Development Manager to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview: As the Global Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our Agile development team in creating and maintaining high-quality shop floor systems. Reporting to the Global Director of Shop Floor Systems, your primary focus will be on developing innovative software solutions that automate our manufacturing execution and shipping processes, ensuring optimal efficiency and accuracy. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and quality assurance, to deliver exceptional products that meet our business objectives.

Responsibilities

 Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of skilled .NET full stack developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing Agile development environment. Review current processes and suggest any changes or amendments that could be implemented to improve quality or productivity. Drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable shop floor systems using .NET technologies, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Optimise the use of existing tools within the team to leverage their features (Jira, Bit bucket, Bamboo, Nuget, Confluence, Weblate, UI Path Test Suite) Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and provide innovative software solutions. Ensure the timely delivery of software projects, managing priorities, timelines, and resources effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging the team to explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance our development process. Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote code quality, security, and performance optimization. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in .NET development, and evaluate their applicability to our systems.

Qualifications

 Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience of software development processes, with a strong background in Agile development methodologies. Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Proficiency in .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies. Solid understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, and design patterns. Experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js. Strong knowledge of database design, SQL optimization, and performance tuning. Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/delivery, and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
