At Repsol Trading, we optimize the supply and marketing of positions. Our activity consists of the supply of crude oil and products for refining systems and other needs, the marketing of crude oil and products of our own production, their maritime transport and the management of product hedges in the financial derivatives markets.

This is a strategic area and we are looking to add a new member to the Derivatives team

As an Analyst your Challenges will be:

Keeping up with the fast-paced and dynamic financial environment, which can change rapidly due to economic, political, social, or technological factors.

Dealing with large and complex datasets, which can involve multiple sources, formats, and methods of analysis.

Communicating effectively with counterparties, managers, colleagues, or regulators, who may have different expectations, preferences, and backgrounds.

Managing multiple tasks and projects, which can have tight deadlines, competing priorities, and high stakes.

Adhering to ethical and professional standards, which can involve confidentiality, accuracy, integrity, and compliance.

Functions and responsibilities

In coordination with other team members will be responsible for analyzing financial data, trends, and market conditions, for creating reports, and for providing insights and recommendations to support business decisions:

Support and improve analytical capabilities and market knowledge to inform trading decisions for the desk.

Collect, process, and understand financial data to elaborate fundamentals market analysis and identify market trends and changes

Send daily view and analysis of regional market and other regions including global head and trading executive director.

Elaborate specific reports for the different books: financial reports, dashboards, and charts to communicate findings and insights to management, counterparties, and stakeholders.

Liaison with the Research & Analysis central team and Business Development to maintain and expand book specific market analysis.

Understand and follow paper positions in all books and how they can interact. Analysis ex-post of trading positions.

Work closely with traders to look profitability in the mid long term.

Supports and leads the digitalization efforts of the desk and liaise with other relevant departments.

Develops tools (dashboards) to further improve team efficiency at decision taking and analytical models to support trader’s decision making and define medium and long-term strategies.

Perform financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation using various tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, Python, C++, etc.

Provide recommendations and solutions based on financial analysis.

About You:

Bachelor s degree

At least two years of experience as a financial analyst or in a similar role.

Excellent PC skills with the ability to extract raw data and utilize within spreadsheets and databases and Programing skills with database modelling.

Understanding of trading terminology and risk management fundamentals will be considered positively.

Proficient in English Language.
