Wyser is looking for an Construction Director based in the Valencian Community for a Health Care company.

As a Local EHS Director, you will be responsible for managing a team and activities to ensure alignment with health and safety guidelines and processes, while ensuring compliance with government safety regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsabilities

Manage a team and activities to ensure alignment with health and safety guidelines and processes, while ensuring compliance with government safety regulations and industrystandards.Manage and oversee the work in multiple areas while ensuring compliance with the EHS procedures, local government regulations policies and programs and industry standards; Accountable for plant's annual EHS performance goals, budget, training (e.g., regulatory) and communications programs. Manage the EHS system to assure continuous compliance and improvement of the EHS certifications. Serve as lead person with local authorities on all EHS matters and as the EHS Management Representative.Develop a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.Work with plant leadership to develop operational strategy. Collaborate and align with Corporate EHS and GSC team in driving standardized EHS programs. Partner with cross-functional groups/resources to achieve tactical execution of business objectivesSet and lead the implementation of strategic processes that align with key business strategies. Establish EHS plant strategy to include related certifications and programs (e.g., ergonomics, occupational health, accident reduction, hazardous material handling) that align with plant strategyLead in all EHS regulatory inspections, evaluate, and provide follow up with the implementation of the corrective and preventive actions encountered during inspectionsEstablish process to ensure the investigation of accidents and safety violations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions in partnership with cross-functional teamsPlan and direct complex projects and activities with the accountability for successful completion of all deliverables. Lead in identifying EHS risks, developing mitigation strategies, defining alternative solutions, and resolving issues in collaboration with cross-functional and/or matrixed teamsPerform data and statistical analysis in order to prepare and submit required EHS reporting to management team and Corporate EHS as well as publishing metrics at the plantManage 3rd party contractors related to the EHS aspects initiatives

Requirements

Expert understanding of EHS procedures while identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems Expert understanding of related environmental regulations (e.g., Air, water, waste, energy)Expert understanding of general industry OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and ISOregulations Expert knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to EHS (e.g., budgeting)Demonstrated ability to manage one or more teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relationsAbility to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of EHS to the businessRequire the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationshipExcellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision makingExcellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and
