As a leader in the global analytics function in supply-chain, the individual drive continuous improvements in the design and implementation of digital analytic products accelerating decision-making and improving outcomes across functions.  This role will lead a team of developers working closely with functional analysts and end customers to implement data-driven solutions that solve the problems of today and anticipate the challenges of tomorrow.  She/he will be accountable for the global suite of analytics products supporting supply-chain, user experience, and design review processes. Candidates must have a passion for the application of data and analytics to improve decision-making in supply-chain. What You Will Do:

  • Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of solid and dotted line reports across multiple geographies.

  • Lead the design, and development of a large variety of complex digital and advanced analytics products for applications across supply-chain.

  • Provide guidance and help set strategies relating to data and how it is used in analytics.

  • Maintain personas, define standards, and best practices for user experience as it relates to defined personas.

  • Work with supply chain and IT teams to ensure that back-end infrastructure and user-facing technologies meet the needs of the supply chain community.

  • Lead prioritization reviews and the ongoing development roadmap for analytic products focusing on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply-chain.

  • Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects that involve supply chain analytics.

  • Stay up to date on the latest trends and technologies as it relates to data and analytics.

  • Make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of analytic products as technology and the art of the possible evolves.

  • Own the design review process (conceptual, preliminary, final) for the release of certified analytical products.

  • Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to solve business problems.

  • Some international travel required.

 
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâs degree

  • 8 years of relevant professional experience

  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this position 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorâs degree required with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or another technical field.

  • Advanced analytics experience leveraging modern digital tools like Python, SQL, R.

  • Expertise with BI visualization methods and modern tools such as PowerBI, or Tableau (PowerBI Preferred).

  • Experience in data science with data processing methods, data modeling, statistics, and machine learning.

  • Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills.

  • A proven ability to provide insights and tell stories with data.

  • Experience building operational reports, KPIs and dashboards.

  • Skilled at managing and delivering multiple projects, tasks, and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Experience in supply-chain.  Petrochemical industry a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working in a global environment.
