The Spain Global Financial Controlling team (4 people) is responsible for a broad range of Controlling activities in Spain Global, very well connected with local teams (FP&A, legal, HR)  as well as the Central Regional Controlling team in Amsterdam, and Shared Services in Romania and India. Our responsibilities include Central Functions activities, monitoring intercompany invoicing for central services, as well as Central Tech, monitoring large and centralized contracts.

We are seeking a Regional Financial Controller in our Barcelona office (Poblenou). This is a hybrid role (2-3 days in the office), reporting directly to the Sr. Financial Controller Manager.

Your responsibilities will be:

Delivery of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial closings by working closely with all internal and external Financial Controllers and Analysts 

Onestream and SAP S4 HANA reporting 

Cost controlling (including accruals) together with FP&A team.

Trial Balance review and flux analysis

Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Supervise central intercompany accruals and invoicing on the services rendered

Project accounting

Monitor the end to end process and the accounting effects of the Central Functions activities and Central Tech contracts (liaise with Cloud Governance team, with CIO office, and other relevant stakeholders)

Coordinate local statutory audits 

Liaise with the Company’s legal & tax advisors on the preparation of tax declarations and required forms with the authorities, or other locally required reporting and submissions

Liaise with the Group tax team and with the local tax advisor on Tax Audits

Liaise & report to local authorities on local required reporting and submissions.

Liaise with the Global Process Owners (GPOs) on the processes to be improved or implemented

Liaise with the Transfer Pricing Manager and GPOs to ensure the intercompany services are provided following the arm's length principle

Who you are:

You have earned a bachelor or master’s degree in the areas of Controlling or Finance & Accounting

Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting and/or controlling role, preferably in an international global environment

Strong analytical (excel) skills and an affinity with numbers

Strong interpersonal skills 

Able to work & prioritize independently in an international matrix organization

Extended experience in working with accounting software (SAP S4 HANA  preferred);

Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
