The Digital Products, Platforms & Services team is a newly formed team sits within Growth, Digital & Platforms (GDP) global function and is responsible for designing, developing & rolling out state-of-the-art digital products across brands, regions & divisions globally and help our brands accelerate organic growth.  

THE JOB 

We are looking for a technically skilled, highly motivated, and proactive Solution Architect to join our team dedicated to building and maintaining our cutting-edge Consent, Identity & Single Sign-On product. As a Solution Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, deploying and optimizing the software infrastructure that powers our Consent, Identity & Single Sign-On use cases.  

• A degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field provides a solid foundation for understanding both business requirements and technical aspects. 

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in implementing scalable software systems 

• Proven experience in solution architecture, particularly in designing and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and integrating with identity providers. 

• MUST HAVE 

  • In-depth understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML, with the ability to design secure and efficient authentication workflows. 

  • Proficiency in integrating with various Identity Providers (IdPs) like Okta, Auth0, Forgerock, and other leading platforms, ensuring seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) experiences. 

  • Knowledge of security standards and best practices related to identity and access management, including encryption, tokenization, and secure transmission of authentication data. 

  • Familiarity with consent management solutions, especially OneTrust, and the ability to integrate them securely within the overall architecture, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. 

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business units to translate business requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment with organizational goals. 

   

  NICE TO HAVE 

  • Familiarity with various Multi-Factor Authentication methods and the ability to design solutions that enhance security by incorporating MFA seamlessly. 

  • Experience in API integration and understanding of RESTful APIs, as well as the ability to design architectures that facilitate smooth communication between systems. 

  • Knowledge of cloud-based identity services and experience in integrating SSO solutions within cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

  • Awareness of user experience principles related to authentication and SSO, contributing to the design of solutions that provide intuitive and user-friendly experiences. 

  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to data privacy and security, such as GDPR and CCPA, and the ability to design solutions that ensure compliance. 

  • Coding knowledge of JAVA and Javascript (ex developer turned Architect is preferred) 

• As the Solution Architect for our Single Sign-On (SSO) and Consent product, you'll drive the design and integration with leading identity providers such as Okta, Auth0, Forgerock, and OneTrust for consent management. Your role involves providing technical leadership, ensuring scalability, and collaborating with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the technical vision of our SSO and Consent product, delivering secure and compliant user authentication experiences. 

   

  You will be responsible for: 

  • Architect end-to-end solutions for the Single Sign-On (SSO) and Consent product, integrating seamlessly with identity providers such as Okta, Auth0, Forgerock, and consent solutions like OneTrust. 

  • Work closely with product owner, business analyst, backend and frontend software engineers, software engineering lead etc. to build solutions to enable our divisions to capture marketing consent from consumers (and leads) at brand touchpoints such as  

  • brand website & apps 

  • clinic Practice Mgmt System 

  • CRM emails and SMSs  

  • Consumer care contact center agent  

  • +more  

  • Designing and implementing different microservices powering the core of Mars Petcare’s Consent, Identity & Single Sign-On platform, setup migration tools, developing the code, testing, monitoring, and improving the platform. 

  • Creating and maintaining RESTful APIs for communication between Consent, Identity & Single Sign-On and other system components such as brand website, brand apps, Customer Data Platform (CDP) etc.  

  • Contributing to the software architectural design of the Consent, Identity & Single Sign-On, ensuring it aligns with best practices and meets scalability, security & privacy requirements.  

  • Work closely with marketeers, UX Researchers and UX Designers to deliver an e2e consumer journey that delivers maximum conversion and minimum “drop outs”  

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, standards, and successful implementation of the proposed architecture. 

  • Design the SSO and Consent product architecture for scalability, focusing on efficient integration with various identity providers and consent management solutions. Prioritize large-scale, secure data flow. 

  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business units and IT teams, to understand requirements, identify technical challenges, and design solutions that align with both business and technical needs. 

  • Ensure the product architecture follows best practices for data privacy and consent management. Implement compliance with relevant regulations and standards, incorporating measures such as GDPR during product development. 

  • Some example key features you will help deliver: 

  Registration and Self-Service: Your solution will help our consumers to register for /create accounts on MARS Petcare brand websites & apps and manage their profiles, including password resets and account recovery. 

  Consent Management (Preference Center): Using OneTrust, you will help build Preference Center solution to collect and manage consent (from consumers /Pet Owners) for marketing activities. Pet Owners can set their preferences regarding communication channels, frequency, and content. They can choose how they want to be contacted and specify their communication preferences. Pet Owners can provide or withdraw their consent for various purposes, such as marketing communications or cookies. Your solution will help consumers to easily opt in or opt out of specific activities and channels; thus ensuring that MARS Petcare consumers have control over their own data. 

  Consent Management - DSAR (Data Subject Access Request): You will use OneTrust to create DSAR solution to track and manage all DSARs received, including their status, deadlines, and responsible parties, in line with data privacy regulations, such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act). DSARs give consumers the right to request access to their personal data that MARS Petcare holds.  

  Identity & Authentication: You will design & deliver solution designed to help MARS Petcare brands manage and secure the identities of their consumers (B2C). Your solution will enable us to provide a seamless and secure authentication and authorization experience to consumers accessing our applications and services. This includes Passwordless Authetication, Social Logins, MFA etc.  

  Single Sign-On (SSO): Using OKTA /Auth0 off-the-shelf solution and some in-house built components, you will enable Pet Owners to access multiple brand websites & apps (within same division and also cross-division) with a single set of credentials. This feature enhances convenience for the Pet Owner and security by reducing the need to remember multiple passwords.
