About the Client
My client is the air transport industry's IT provider, delivering solutions for airlines, airports, aircraft, and governments. Their technology powers more seamless, safe, and sustainable air travel. They are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst to join on a freelance/contract basis until the end of 2024.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst you will be working on the implementation of a safety management system with airline and airport customers.
Key Duties
• Understand the way the application is working, its goal and limitation.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and requirements within the aviation sector.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulations, and status of the application.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements, including functional specifications, use cases, and user stories.
• Work closely with IT teams to design and implement technological solutions that address business needs while complying with aviation regulations and standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise in aviation-related systems, processes, and industry best practices to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Act as a liaison between the business and IT departments, advocating for the needs of aviation stakeholders and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Support testing and quality assurance efforts, including test case development, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation reviews.
What we are looking for Knowledge & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Aviation Management, or related field.
• Language: French & English (at least C1 in both).
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the aviation sector, with a strong understanding of aviation processes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, adapt to changing priorities, and build relationships. • Familiarity with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum, and experience working in cross-functional project teams.
Desirable Skills
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or relevant industry certifications in aviation management.
• Experience with risk management solutions.
Candidates must be ok to work a hybrid setup, working 3 days per week in the office in Barcelona, 2 days remote.
