ERM Iberia is seeking a H&S Consultant. As a consequence of the continuous growth and development of projects in our organization, we are seeking for a Consultant in the area of Operational Performance Services, covering the following services: EHS Management systems and compliance support, EHS Auditing, Safety Services including Safety Culture Transformation, etc.

Based in Madrid or Barcelona, the consultant will be mainly focused on safety projects (although not exclusively) , assignments and proposal tasks under the supervision of his/her team leader or supervisor, contributing to the achievement of the team and group targets of quality project delivery, client satisfaction, productivity and revenues, understanding application of HSE legal framework to real situations.

Working Areas

His/her main responsibilities and tasks will be:
Support the development of Safety and health, and environmental compliance and management system programs.Provide comprehensive support for safety compliance activities.Perform H&S and environmental compliance audits and provide advice on the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.Provide general Safety compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance.Prepare HSE legal registers.Provide Safety and awareness training.Facilitate workshops with clients as part of safety culture transformation projects.Supporting project managers in requested activities such as research for information, writing reports, etc.Getting embedded into the team and fulfil with all administrative requirements
Ideal candidate
We are seeking for a candidate with enthusiasm to develop a career in a sustainability consulting firm and especially on health and safety services.+4 years’ experience is required in HSE positions.Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering, , or related discipline.H&S Master or similar degree is a must.Experience in process safety and/or safety culture project is desired.Knowledge on environmental and health and safety management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001), EHS audits, health and safety supervision, and other Sustainability services.Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports.Experience working in Oil & Gas, Power, Mining, and Manufacturing Sector will be an important candidate selection factor.Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of PowerPoint, and Excel desired.Fluency in Spanish and English languages is a must (please do not apply if you do not have a very high level of written and spoken English). Other languages such as French, Italian or Portuguese are a plus.Availability for very frequent travels (national and international) is a must.
